Pragati Sporting lift Muketeswar Cup

Pragati Sporting emerged champions in the Mukteswar Cup Under-16 Cricket Tournament, defeating Rameswar Sporting in the final by five wickets at BJB Nagar ground here today. The champion team received a cash prize of Rs 5,000, while the runners-up became richer by Rs 3,000.

Abhishek Panda (Pragati), Arindam Bose (Rameswar), Prakash Sahu (Rameswar) and Swagat Routary (Pragati) were adjudged the man of the tournament and man of the final, best batsman and best bowler respectively.

Former India Test cricketers Debasis Mohanty and Shiv Sundar Das gave away the trophy and prizes at the closing function. Host Mukteswar Cricket Club felicitated seven promising cricket talents on the occasion.
